Settled choices and the reasoning behind them, so they are not re-litigated. A decision is reversible; the reasoning is what tells you whether reversing it is safe.

One decision per file, named by the anchor slug of its title, so a link names the decision it cites and two branches settling two decisions touch two different files. A decision carries cause, reason, decision and what it beat — the decision skill walks the writing and the sweep that follows it.

These are cited from the pages whose behaviour they explain, which is how a reader meets one: a decision answers a question a reference page raised. They are not in the sidebar, because browsing forty of them is not how anyone arrives at the one they need. The directory lists every file for anyone who does want to read them through.
